Peter Hanson is a professional saxophonist and woodwind doubler from Bloomington, Indiana. With a primary focus upon jazz and improvised music he has performed in Europe, Canada, and the USA for more than twenty years. His teachers include luminaries such as Otis Murphy, David Liebman, and Lynne Arriale. While teaching music in New York City schools, Peter earned a Master’s Degree in Music Education from Brooklyn College in 2016. His debut solo album, Serpent Songs, was released on Average Negative records in 2020. Peter currently lives in Berlin, Germany.
